Eric Smith
CID Superintendent
Eric was elected CID Superintendent for the 2026-2028 term after serving as assistant superintendent, trainmaster, social media manager, and operations chair. His focus is on operations, through his OperatingSessions.com site, as editor of the Operations SIG publication (The Dispatcher’s Office) and as the OpSIG’s webmaster.

Steve serves as the Assistant Superintendent of the Division. He enjoys doing clinics at meets and shows. He models the Illinois Central Gulf in the 1970’s with a focus on operations.

Phillip ihas served the Division at the Paymaster and now moves to the Chief Clerk slot. He is well-known steel mill modeler, serving on that SIG, and is accomplished at 3-D printing.
Brian Chapman

Brian joined the NMRA in 2022. He was worked at numerous CID train shows as well as staffing the CID’s promotional booth at various shows. Professionally he spent nearly 30 years in the commercial banking sector, 25 of those years were in executive level management. Most of his responsibilities were in the areas of finance, accounting, and operations.
